![]() ![]() Do what you will, but my advice is to just buy something cheap from focusrite. Then of course you have all the legacy driver issues and all that bullshit. Then try and record a vocal/ guitar through both interfaces and see if one sounds better to you. Make sure you can return it if you don't end up using it. Buy an interface at Guitar Center or whatever. I think your best option would be to A/B test it as best you can. But its one of those situations where I was kicking my self in the ass because, I could have replaced it pretty cheaply years ago and probably would have gotten better mixes in less time. I think maybe the technology has just gotten either better or at least cheaper since I bought the 2626. This unfortunately may also affect your mixes even if its all in-the-box vst sounds. ![]() I think it has something to do with the quality of the Analog to Digital and Digital to Analog conversion that happens inside an interface also. But let me tell you, yeah, like everything I did through the Clarett just sounded way cleaner and clearer. First off, I am no expert on any of this. ![]()
